When Andrew’s roommate, Sean, admits to feeling attraction to a guy for the first time, namely to Andrew, Andrew agrees to let Sean experiment with him. Andrew figures it will be a good way to work his own desire for Sean out of his system. His plan backfires, though. As time goes on, Andrew finds the opposite is happening. Instead, he’s falling for Sean. Now he wants more, a real relationship, one in which they are exclusive boyfriends. Will Sean want that, too, though?

  “Trick or treat.”

Andrew’s eyes popped open, the words rasped deep and rich into his ear waking him. He screamed, and gripped the waist of the person hovering above him on all fours. A second before he slipped into fight mode, he recognized the man, his roommate, Sean. His breath smelled of beer, and he no longer wore the superhero costume he had on earlier. Andrew slid his hands down to Sean’s ass, finding only bare skin.

“Shit, man.” Andrew let out a heavy breath. “You’re lucky I didn’t knock you out.” Sean might have been the same size as Andrew, but Andrew had no doubt he still could’ve hurt the guy.

Sean nuzzled his face against Andrew’s neck. “I’m horny,” he groaned, long and low, the rumble of it vibrating against Andrew’s chest as Sean lowered his hips. Sean ground his rigid cock against Andrew. “I want to play.”

Andrew swiped his phone off his nightstand, squinted at the bright screen. 2:30. “We messed around a few hours ago, before the Halloween party started. You want to go again, already?” It was no secret that Andrew was always grumpy when he first woke up, especially in the middle of the night.

Sean licked the shell of Andrew’s ear, nipped the lobe. “I couldn’t take my eyes off you all night. Watching you dance is mesmerizing.” He kissed the side of Andrew’s face. “You disappeared,” his said, his voice dropping. Then he grinned. “But I found you.” He licked a trail across Andrew’s chest. “Want you,” he whispered.

He and Andrew had been dancing with a group of friends all night, in between playing some of the games that had been set up in the basement of their dormitory. Andrew had gotten tired, though, and left them all a half hour earlier so he could go to bed.

“Why not just sleep with someone else, someone who was already awake? You know we aren’t exclusive. You’re just experimenting.” Andrew rubbed his chest, a stabbing pain piercing it as he said the words. He didn’t really want Sean messing around with other people. He wanted the man all to himself.

Asking Sean to only sleep with him this early on in their…fling, hooking up, or whatever it was that one called what they were doing, might send the guy running in the other direction, though. At this point, Andrew would settle for having a part of Sean, instead of none.

Andrew was gay. He’d known it since he was in middle school. So it had come as no surprise to him when he found himself crushing on Sean shortly after they’d started rooming together their senior year of college. Sean’s attraction to Andrew, though, had shocked Sean. He’d never had feelings toward another guy, let alone messed around with one before. When Sean confessed to Andrew that he’d suddenly found himself attracted to another man, namely Andrew, Andrew had felt a spark of hope light inside him, and not thinking, he’d readily agreed to let Sean experiment with him. Andrew hadn’t even hesitated when Sean asked if they could keep it behind closed doors.

At the time, Andrew thought it would be a good way to get Sean out of his system. His plan had backfired, though. Over the past month, he’d only fallen harder for Sean, and the funny antics he used to get into Andrew’s pants. As time went on, Andrew found it harder to resist touching the man in public.

“I know,” Sean said, his breath hot on Andrew’s skin. “My cock only wants you, though. I can’t help it.”

Andrew groaned, his dick filling. When Sean said things like that, Andrew could almost fool himself into believing he and Sean might be out as boyfriends in public someday.

Sean lay flat against Andrew, Andrew’s boxers the only thing separating them. “I want to try something new, Andrew.”

Andrew ran his hands over Sean’s lean body. “What do you want to try?” He grazed his parted lips over Sean’s jaw, down to his chin.

Sean moaned, still thrusting against Andrew. “I want you to fuck me.”

Andrew froze. They hadn’t done that yet.

Penetration was something…special. Something Andrew only did in serious relationships. While he wanted more with Sean, a real relationship, he wasn’t sure Sean was ready for that right now.

“I think we should wait until you’re sober,” Andrew said, buying some time. It was a valid excuse anyway. He knew Sean had been drinking. They all had. Plus, if they were really going to take this thing between them to the next level, Andrew wanted Sean clear-headed when he asked for it.

Sean lifted his head, his blue eyes shining bright. “I haven’t had that much to drink.” He wrinkled his nose. “Only like…”

Andrew laughed at the screwed up face Sean made while trying to concentrate.

Sean held up his hand, raising his fingers one at a time until all five were extended, then frowned. “Okay,” he admitted, dropping his arm. “Maybe I have had a few beers.”

Andrew sifted his fingers through Sean’s wavy, black hair, and tugged Sean’s head down to his shoulder.

“Can we do it tomorrow, though? When I’m sober?” Sean asked, drowsiness creeping into his voice. Sean slipped to Andrew’s side, curling around him.

Andrew wrapped his arm around Sean’s waist. “We can talk about it later, if you’re still interested.” Andrew shut his eyes. He could have kicked Sean back to his own equally small, twin-size bed on the other side of their shared room, but if Andrew was honest, he was a cuddle slut, especially when it came to Sean. And the longer he knew Sean, the more he suspected that Sean was one too. “For now, let’s get some sleep.”

Sean hummed against his chest, snuggling in close. Within seconds his breath evened out as he fell into a deep slumber.

  **

When Andrew woke the next morning, their positions were reversed, which made slipping out of bed easy. He glanced at Sean’s sleeping form. The man was gorgeous, inside and out. Andrew wanted him. There was no denying it. He’d done the right thing last night, though, not giving in to Sean.

Andrew shivered. The air in the room was chilly this morning. He reached to the end of the bed and pulled the comforter up around Sean, then fumbled around the room until he found his gym shorts. He tugged them on, adjusted his hard-on, tucking it behind the waistband, then grabbed a towel and his bath caddy. He really needed a shower.

The hot water felt nice as it flowed over his body. He relaxed his shoulders as he thought about the night before, Sean grinding his naked body against his. He squirted some body wash into his palm, then wrapped his hand around his morning wood. As he started a slow glide up and down his erection, the bathroom door creaked open.

“Andrew?” Sean called out, his sleep-filled voice making Andrew grow harder.

Andrew stopped moving his wrist. “Yeah,” he responded. Andrew dropped his arm as he hear
d movement outside the stall. He jumped as Sean’s head popped through the shower curtain. Sean grinned ear-to-ear, looking wide awake, despite the fact that he’d only been up five minutes at most.

Sean glanced down at Andrew’s swollen flesh. “Want help with that?”

Andrew shifted back. “What are you doing up? I figured you would sleep well past noon today.”

Sean stepped into the shower, pressing Andrew further under the spray. “I missed you.” He moved closer, and captured Andrew’s mouth with his own.

The kiss was sensual, their tongues doing a slow, erotic dance as their hands roamed over their bodies. Andrew was thankful for the noise of the water, as it drowned out the sound of his whimper when Sean grasped both their cocks in his large hand.

Andrew spread his legs farther apart, making room for Sean. Sean kissed his way to the side of Andrew’s head, until his mouth was right by his ear. “I meant what I said last night.” His gravelly voice sent waves rippling through Andrew’s body. “I want you to fuck me.”

Andrew bit down on his bottom lip, stopping himself from crying out, as Sean continued to jerk his wrist, shuttling them toward the finish line.

Sean sucked at a spot on Andrew’s neck. He’d probably leave a mark. Andrew was past caring, though.

Andrew pumped his hips into Sean’s fist, losing control. He dug his fingertips into Sean’s biceps, hanging on for dear life. His head dropped back against the tile wall as his balls seized and semen erupted from the head of his cock and onto Sean’s chest.

“Beautiful,” Sean murmured, then gasped, finding his own release. He gradually slowed the motion of his hand until they were both completely spent before letting go.

Andrew rested against Sean, his eyes closed, enjoying being held for a few moments.

Eventually Sean pulled away. He clasped their hands together, though. Andrew opened his eyes, found Sean staring at him, his gaze softening before he spoke.

“I want more with you, Andrew. I haven’t slept with anyone else, since we started messing around. No other men. Or women,” he quickly added. “You’re all I think about.”

Andrew’s heart pounded. So Sean hadn’t just said those things last night because he was drunk.

“I’ve had a lot of time to think. I want to be your boyfriend. To be out with you in public.” Sean’s voice shook, as if he was worried Andrew would turn him down. “I’ll prove it to you,” he urged. “The guys want to go bowling this afternoon. The alley is doing glow bowling for Halloween. We can come out as a couple then.” Worry lines marred Sean’s forehead. “If you want that, too,” he added, his voice gone quiet.

Andrew never imagined that they would get to this conclusion, in a dorm shower no less. He was one-hundred percent on board with being Sean’s boyfriend, though. “I want that,” he agreed, then cringed. “Are you sure you do, though? It’s a big deal, coming out.”

Sean snorted. “You remember that I was raised by two moms, right? It’s not like I have to worry about my family disowning me.” He pulled Andrew close, again. “Our friends know you’re gay, and they’re fine with it. So, worst-case scenario, they’re shocked that I’m bisexual. They won’t drop us, though.”

Sean was probably right. They had a great group of friends.

“Are you prepared for people to give us dirty looks if we touch or kiss in public, though? I can almost guarantee that will happen at some point.” Andrew should shut his mouth, take what Sean offered, no questions asked. He wanted to make sure Sean knew what he was up against, though. That it might not always be easy.

Sean brushed Andrew’s dark hair off his forehead with his fingers, the gentle gesture in opposition to the tough man. “I’ll have you. That’s all that matters.”

Andrew smiled, then pressed a quick kiss to Sean’s lips. “Okay, then.”

“Good,” Sean said, reaching for Andrew’s shampoo. “Let’s wash up, then go meet the others for lunch.” He rubbed the gel between his palms, then soaped up his and Andrew’s hair. His mouth turned up into a devilish grin. “I need to fuel up before I kick your ass in bowling, again.”

Andrew laughed. “You only beat me by one pin last time.” He playfully punched Sean in the shoulder.

Sean raised his hands in the air, palms toward Andrew. “Hey. A win is a win.” He chuckled. “Besides, I intend to beat you by much more this time.” He waggled his eyebrows. “Then we can come home and I’ll give you your consolation prize.”

Andrew’s eyes widened, as he quickly caught Sean’s meaning. “What if I win?”

Sean shrugged. “Same outcome. We’ll just call it my consolation prize, instead.”

Andrew burst with laughter, the sound echoing off the tiles. Well, that certainly gave him something to look forward to.

  **

Sean’s neon yellow bowling ball rolled toward the pins at the end of the lane, where the backboard had been painted with bright orange pumpkins that glowed in the dark under the black lights overhead. All ten pins scattered as the ball made contact. Sean leaped into the air, pumping his fist high. It was his third strike in a row, giving him the lead over Andrew and their friends. He jumped off the lane, tugged Andrew up from his seat, and smacked his lips over Andrew’s. He leaned back, his eyes beaming. “I told you I’d beat you again, babe.”

It was their first public display of affection, and the first time Sean had called him by something other than his name. Guess they were out now.

Andrew glanced around the small seating area. Yep, all their friends were staring. He probably would be, too, if he were in their shoes. Andrew had imagined that he and Sean would just tell their friends that they were dating during a casual conversation. He smirked. This way worked, too, though.

Tim closed his gaping mouth, then spoke the words that everyone else was probably thinking when he asked, “So, you two?” He waved his hand at Andrew and Sean. “You’re a thing now?” There was no trace of disgust in his voice. His tone and face only expressed open curiosity.

Andrew nodded at the same time Sean said, “Yes.”

Tim smiled. “All right.” He shrugged. “That’s cool.” He stood up, then patted them both on the back. “Congratulations.” He scrunched his forehead. “I guess? Is that what I’m supposed to say to a new couple?” Everyone laughed, breaking the tension.

“That works,” Andrew said, happy that things had gone as well as Sean thought they would. After everyone gave some sign that they were okay with the situation, things proceeded as if the awkward moment had never happened. Thankfully, there were no prying questions. They just hung out as usual. Lots of laughs, and Andrew getting his butt whopped in bowling, again.

As the evening progressed, they grabbed some dinner at the local pizza joint, then headed over to a bar for karaoke. They all had a beer or two before taking turns belting out songs from the 80’s, thoroughly embarrassing themselves.

Sean hadn’t taken his eyes and hands off Andrew since they’d come out to their friends. With Sean’s arm draped over his shoulders, Andrew couldn’t stop thinking about what was to come. Neither he nor Sean had more than one beer. Hopefully it was a sign that Sean wasn’t feeling apprehensive, not craving liquid courage.

Andrew glanced at his phone for the hundredth time. How soon was too soon to leave? Surely, a few minutes after midnight was an acceptable time to head out?

  Andrew locked eyes with Sean.

Sean arched his eyebrows. “Ready?” he mouthed.

  Andrew nodded.

Sean leaned in. “I was ready to go back to the room with you hours ago,” he nearly growled into Andrew’s ear.

Andrew shuddered. He stood up so fast it was a wonder he didn’t make himself dizzy. Sean chuckled beside him. They told the others they were headed home, waved their goodbyes, and were out the door within ten seconds. Andrew was pretty sure he heard a few catcalls and whoops as they exited. He chose to ignore them for now, his mind distracted with more important matters.

  Fortunately, it was
short walk back to their room. Once they were inside, Sean slammed the door shut, and immediately began stripping. Andrew did the same. No need to slowly undress, they’d already seen each other naked.

Sean grabbed some lube and a condom from his dresser, tossed them on his pillow, then got on all fours on his bed and presented his ass to Sean. One side of Andrew’s mouth lifted. Sean definitely didn’t appear to be having any second thoughts.

Andrew crawled onto the bed behind him. “Is this how you want it?” he asked.

Sean looked back at Andrew, smirking. “The first time, yes.”

Andrew chuckled. “What if you don’t like it?”

Sean grinned. “That’s not going to happen. I’ve been thinking about this for weeks. It just took some loosened inhibitions last night to finally ask for it.”

Andrew caressed Sean’s hip. “Well, if you don’t like it, we can go back to just doing other stuff. There’s no pressure to do this.” He didn’t want Sean to worry if the time came when he realized that he didn’t actually enjoy being penetrated. Not all gay guys liked it. If Sean didn’t, Andrew would be okay with that. He didn’t need that in his relationship to feel complete.

He couldn’t lie, though. He did enjoy anal sex, so if it did work out, and he and Sean could add that into their relationship, he’d be elated.

Andrew snagged the condom and put it on. Otherwise he ran the risk of forgetting about it once he started prepping Sean. He warmed the small bottle of lube between his hands a few seconds before popping the cap and drizzling some of the clear liquid on himself, then a generous amount over Sean’s hole. He moved the pad of his finger over Sean’s pucker, watching it pull tight and loosen as he played with it.

  Sean groaned. “Quit teasing me.”

  Andrew snorted. “So eager.”

“I just want you.” Sean grumbled.

Andrew loved that Sean always blurted out what was on his mind. He didn’t hold back, didn’t worry about being teased for having feelings. Andrew curled over Sean’s back. “I want you, too,” he said as he slipped a finger into Sean.
